Sun printed background fabric, Angelina fibres with foiled PVA glue. I heated and embossed a piece of copper shim in the shape of a leaf. The postcard was covered with chiffon and free motion quilted.

Sun printed hand dyed background fabric with some Angelina fibres embossed with silver stars. The thistle was made by stencilling Xpandaprint and painting with acrylic paints.
I was experimenting with textured gels. I used Golden Gel Medium Regular Gel (Semi-gloss) and added Maribu Textile paint in Violet and green. The gel was then painted on a commercial rose stencil.
For this rose I used Golden Gel Mediums Soft Gel (Matte) and added Maribu Textil paint in Violet but also added Pearl Ex Pigments in Dua Red-Blue to give a different colour and effect for the rose. I used green textile paint for the leaves and stem.
Using 1/4" masking tape I masked the Fibonacci sequence. Using Stewart Gill Alchemy paints. I painted the open areas using a small spatula. Once the paints were dry I removed the masking tape and free motion quilted uisng a variegated thread.
Rust dyed silk with Bondaweb foiled "flying geese"
Rust dyed and painted silk. Lasertran inket decal on copper shim. Foiled bondaweb for the Celtic design.
Rust dyed and painted habotai silk. Copper and brass shim geometric applique shapes.
